Shadi G is a smooth-as-glass R&B vocalist, songwriter, and producer with an impressive new single called “Mind.” Released on her own Goldamin Records imprint, “Mind” exists in an atmospheric dreamscape that envelops listeners and lifts them up into Shadi’s unique world. The track spotlights her breathy, delicate vocals and intimate style while telling the tale of someone choosing to leave a toxic personal situation and embracing empowerment and self-love. It’s a quietly brilliant song that will make you lean in to hear every second of it and delivers a great deal of true emotion.
Based in Sweden, Shadi G controls her entire creative output by writing, recording, and producing all of her own material. She demonstrates an original take on modern R&B that’s more about melody, phrasing, and lyrical detail than the shouting for attention and over-singing so common in the current scene. More than anything, it’s this that sets her apart from her peers and keeps her in her own artistic zone. “Mind” is an excellent song that will quickly seduce listeners and turn them into fans. Shadi G absolutely has the goods needed to get big and deserves a spot in any R&B fan’s rotation.
